CAPRS is excited to announce our involvement with the LERRN – The Local Engagement Refugee Research Network, a seven-year global initiative supported by a CAD$2.5 million SSHRC Partnership Grant. Co-led by Carleton University and the global refugee-led organisation Refugees SEAT (R-SEAT), this project brings together 27 organisations and 76 partners to transform how we understand and respond to forced migration. CAPRS is honoured to be the only named New Zealand organisation involved and will contribute to key working groups focused on power dynamics in knowledge production, categories of displacement, policy impact through knowledge mobilisation, and mentorship for emerging scholars with lived experience. We are proud to support this important step towards more inclusive, collaborative, and locally grounded approaches to refugee research.
