The Humanitarian Migration Report, commissioned by New Zealand Red Cross’ National Board and overtaken by Dr Murdoch Stephens, provides a broad overview of migration in New Zealand in 2022 through a humanitarian lens. It aims to guide the New Zealand Red Cross in aligning its Migration Programme with the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and Strategy 2030. Grounded in the principle of humanity, the report focuses on areas where migration status may result in unmet basic needs, discrimination, or social exclusion. Its goal is to highlight where support is most needed to prevent and alleviate human suffering. Read the full report: RC-Migration-Scoping-Report-2022-v10_final.pdf
